As Creative Head, DDB Mudra, West, Rahul Mathew leads the agency’s creative output for it’s robust set of clients including Future Group, Volkswagen, Johnson & Johnson, Kalpataru, Hindustan Unilever, Union Bank, Marico, Emirates, Gulf Oil, Godrej, Lavasa, Arvind, Adani Group, CenturyPly, Raj Petro among others. among others. Rahul is also a part of the Creative Council of the DDB Mudra Group working closely with Sonal Dabral, Chairman & Chief Creative Officer.
With over 15 years of experience, Rahul has worked with some of the leading advertising networks including Ogilvy, JWT, Leo Burnett, Y&R (in Kuala Lumpur and India).
In his last assignment, Rahul was the Executive Creative Director at McCann Erickson, Mumbai, leading the creative front for brands such as Coca-Cola, Parachute, L’Oreal, Nerolac, Radio Mirchi, Western Union, Cathay Pacific and ACC Cements among others.
In these years, Rahul has partnered an endless list of top-notch clients the likes of Parachute, Saffola, ACC Cements, Airtel, Colgate, Coca-Cola, Pears, Western Union, Tata Motors, Neo Sports, LG, Yamaha and L’oreal.
His work, apart from being noticed and effective, has also been awarded in many forums, both international and local. Rahul has won over 100 awards as the writer and has guided teams to about another 100. These include prestigious awards like Cannes, One Show and Clio; and includes precious metals like Grand Prixs.
Little wonder that his name has often featured on many creative lists. In 2013, he was ranked as the 8th most awarded writer by Campaign Asia. While in 2009, Campaign Brief Asia ranked him amongst the 5 most creative people in India. And even more recently, his Western Union Billboard was ranked the most awarded outdoor by the Advertising Age & Creativity 2013 Global Awards report.
