Pragati Chavan

Awarded for Excellence in Corporate Communications at AdGully Women Disruptors 2024, Pragati’s 14+ years in the marketing communications space has been rich and diverse. Her expertise lies in reputation stewardship, branding, media & crisis management, stakeholder engagement, and community participation. Under her leadership, the DDB Mudra Group is one of the most talked-about agencies, with the second-highest SOV in the industry. With the Four Freedoms as the foundation, her advocacy work has upped employee engagement and a stronger employer brand for potential talent.

A seasoned B2B marketer, her last stint was with the Ministry of British Columbia, where she was instrumental in building the marketing team for Canadian Wood. The brand enjoyed the highest TOM recall value in a highly commoditized category. Interestingly, Pragati started her career with the erstwhile Mudra where she helped set up the Corporate Communications team during an aggressive growth phase. At LANXESS, the communication strategies showcased the company’s community engagement through CSR and internal communications.

She is a graduate of the prestigious Phyllis Project, a year-long mentoring program for women leaders at the DDB Mudra Group. She was also chosen for the High-Performance Lab, a coaching program for the company’s top 20 next-gen leaders. And to give back to the industry, she is now a mentor for the Global Omnicom Mentorship Program.

While she had an academic background in science, Pragati always knew communications was her calling and chose to pursue mass media with business academically.

Pragati lives in Mumbai and is a parent to a young daughter who keeps her busy, and gladly so.
